OZ ENCOUNTER

I said I'd upload some of the photos I've taken in Australia. Well, here are a few as promised.

Koala Hugs. One of us is the cutest thing ever! I don't think there are any doubts which one I'm talking about.

I fully expected the kangaroo to bite the hand that fed it. Well, it was incredibly gentle. LD, if you're reading this, take a hint!

More Koala dreams! There were literally hundreds of them in the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, and every one was as cute as a...koala!

Emu. A very weird looking bird. It tried to eat the kibble right from an open hand. I'm not sure if it wouldn't've have taken a finger, too, if given the chance.

Me at Kangaroo Point. I have no idea why it's called Kangaroo Point. Neither did the tour guide. I assume like everything else it was named for the thing they had to get rid of in order to build whatever it is they wanted to build. That's the way city planning is. Call a community Thousand Oaks, it's because they cleared at least 1,000 oaks to build it. Looking for the river your town was named after but is no longer there. Guess why. Kangaroo Point? You get the idea!

More photos as I can!

Great photos, Marv! I'm green with envy that you got to hold a koala and feed a roo.

I am *so* jealous over the koala hug! Have a great time, for the rest of your trip.

Koalas and kangaroos are quite possibly the cutest animals on the face of the planet. Except for puppies. And bunnies. Those are pretty cute, too. Regardless, neat photos!
